Access Land Surveying is a small but lively consultancy serving clients mainly in Canterbury and Buller but also anywhere in the South Island. We have worked from Bluff to Blenheim and many places between.

Access Land Surveying was started in 2000 by Reuben Vos, following his desire to forge a business from scratch. 
Over the years he has gained many loyal clients who appreciate the
personal, professional service.

Our passion is to provide quality and timely surveying services.

Reuben Vos

Reuben commenced his surveying career over 30 years ago in 1984 as a surveyors assistant with Middleton Williams and Co. He graduated in 1991 from Otago University with a Bachelor of Surveying and gained Registration as a Surveyor in 1997 while working for Christchurch City Council. In 2000 Reuben established Access Land Surveying Ltd.

Reuben has extensive experience in subdivisions, both small and large. He has a passion for doing the work right first time, ensuring every project is as smooth going for the client as possible and making sure there are no surprises. He has a relaxed friendly going manner, and when you get him in the field, look out as he’s a hard man to keep up with on the goat track.

Steve Smith

Steve graduated with BSurv in 1999. He gained his License as Cadastral Surveyor in 2004 and has extensive experience in Land Transfer Surveys, Topographic Surveys, Resource Consents, building Setouts, unit title subdivisions, you name it. He has great problem solving skills and is particularly adept at communicating with Councils and allied consultants to ensure your project runs smoothly.

Locky Samson

Locky has been surveying with Access Land Surveying Ltd since 2004 and has rapidly gained experience in many aspects of surveying.  He has an excellent understanding of both GPS and conventional surveying and takes pride in ensuring the surveys are undertaken accurately and is the ‘go-to guy’ when it comes to drafting.

The Canterbury rebuild has kept Locky busy assisting home owners and builders with correctly siting their new foundations on their properties.
